Trail Description:
There are many places to actually start from, but starting from the park, the trail winds down along the white river, ending in a old gravle pit. It starts out paved, then to small loose gravle, a short dash on a wooden board walk, then the trail begins as you cross under a over pass. The trail winds along a hill side, its mainly flat with a few small hills, you will then come to an open field, after crossing that, you enter the old gravle pit. Its a decent trail wich also connects to the main board walk around the shady side park.

How to get there:
Comming from the direction of indy, you would take I-69 to the second anderson exit, wich is 109 (the main drag/ by-pass). Turn left heading away from Meijer. After a few miles and sevral stop light, you will pass the Mounds Mall, go over the over pass of the river, you will Pass a sign that say UAW in big letters, the stop light right after that, Wich is 10th street, A burger King restraunt sets on the corner. You will turn left on 10th street, go down about a half mile er so, and the entrance to to 10th street park is on your left. The paved trail runs both ways, take the trail left to head to the dirt trail.

Decent signs marking beginners, intermediate and expert trails. Park rules state that cycling is permissible. Since it is a small park, in order to get some miles on the trail, the single track is rather twisty and curvy with small BMX style mogul hills and young forest meandering paths. It's free and the only option in the area, so it's worth checking out. I rode around for about 45 minutes on the approx 5 miles of trail at a slow average speed as it's not a wide open XC trail. This trail will get better with time and work.

The Rangeline Nature Preserve is now being developed by the city, and is open to the public. A team of volunteers are working on improving the trails every week. If you are coming from I-69, go north on Scatterfield Rd. You will pass a Lowe's on your left, go over a set of railroad tracks, and then come up to 232. Turn right onto 232. Go up to the first stop light, and turn left onto Rangeline Rd. The parking lot is on your left. Most of the trails are well marked. There are three levels of difficulty on the trails, so there's something for everyone.

Watch out! Riding in the retired gravel pit is now illegal. The city owns it and has recently posted signs and the well know entrances. There are still entrances that the city hasn't marked and people are getting fined big $ for trespassing.

as your comming down 109 or what elese is knowen as Scatterfield rd. what was once a union hall for the U.A.W is no longer. It is now a private christian school. But you can park in that lot ajacant to Taco Bell. You will see a hill that you can ride down hang a hard left and your there. Why I rated it fair is its a short ride but it has a variation of hills to try.
