Trail Description:
Hiking trail that allows bikes. First 1/2 mile is steep down (which means steep up on the way back). Dry trail even in the winter on most parts (covered) by trees. Lots of turns and ups-downs, some places you have to get off the bike. Creek crossing included. At the end of the trail, you come out to the end of Cascade head, viewing Hart''s cove, no beach access. Look for seals, big waves, and spectacular scenery. Watch out for hikers!

How to get there:
101 North from Lincoln City about 4 miles. When you get to the very top of the mountain pass look for a gravel/dirt road on your left, take it and drive to the end. The road is closed from Jan-July allowing foot traffic only.

Muddy as hell, leaves were so thick you couldn't stand up even on the trail. It is open to Mt bikes late July to Dec. I decided to try it over the Thanksgiving holiday. This is after the big wind storm that blew in. Too many trees over trail as well. I come from trails that are totally taken care of and am very spoiled I guess. Don't wast time.
