Trail Description:
There are a lot of trails and fire roads here to explore. There's no major climbing though the occasional steep, deeply rutted sections can be found. The network of trails consists mostly of rolling singletrack and fire roads. There are so many trails here that exploration is the only way to find them. There are at least 10 singletrack trails here that are some of the best trails in the region. These trails are extremely popular and well liked, but trail use is still relatively light.

How to get there:
From San Francisco, go East on HWY 80 to Vallejo. Turn left onto HWY 37 to HWY29 North. At the fork on 29, turn right to Napa and Lake Berryessa. This road is the Siverado Trail. Follow this and it will rejoin HWY 29. You can stay on 29 the whole way if you want, but it will take longer. Follow 29 over Mt. St. Helena and to Middletown. In Middletown, turn left onto HWY 75. Follow 75 for six miles to Cobb. About a mile after Cobb turn right into Boggs Mountain at the fire station sign.

Additional Notes:
Camping is available and be careful during hunting season.

Boggs is a fun place to ride once or twice, or if you live close by. The trails are smooth, fast and slick due to the amount of leaves and needles blanketing the trail. As noted, by other posters, don't go during deer season! When your done riding, make sure to stop at St Helena Brewery, in Middletown, for a cold one.

Went there with two friends in August 05. We camped overnight (it's free). Went and had a big breakfast at Cow Poke Cafe' in Middletown about 9 miles east. (great Linguisa and eggs) Rode all day, over 23 miles and still didn't go on all the trails. Ran in to two hikers and no bikers. It's just like your own playground.

This place is da bomb! Skip the fire roads and hit-up the single tracks - limitless possibilities! For the most part, nothing too steep nor technical (although a one inch clearing on Gail's was fairly interesting). It is essentially a mtn biker's paradise: all single track and there is nobody else out there! Crazy! I only ran into one other person on a Saturday afternoon, basically a playground! Be warned - there are hunters. Not only did I see a fair amount of deer, I also found quite a few shotgun shells on the trail. Just wear bright colors. I have read previous criticisms that the trails are poorly marked. Not so! I found the trails well indicated - just keep your eye out and grab a trail map near the Ranger's office. More experienced riders may want to make two loops. Have fun!

these trails are literally in my back yard; rolling singletrack, big chain-ring, wide open cruising. Iride here 4 to 5 times a week and have only come across a handfull of other riders (in 5 years!) Stay away during hunting season, or bring your neon cycling jersey;)

Bogdog is wrong, Lake County is very friendly. He is probably trying to hide a very good place to ride and one of the best kept secrets in California, Lake County. While your in the county stop down and take a look at Clear Lake the largest natural lake in California and the oldest in the western US. I,m not, but if you into fishing bring your pole for some of the best bass fishing in the world. If not enjoy the ride, because like everything else in Lake County, it is worth the trip.

This place is fun!! The only problem is that it is way out of the way but is was worth it. great single-track and very little fire road if you hit it right.

I like Bogdog's comment!

You have your directions all wrong.... You follow 29 then turn on hwy 175, not 75. It is also on Cobb Mt., not in Napa. It is not even in Napa county, it is in Lake county. I also think that punctuation is very important, maybe you should fix your site.
