Ride Summary:
What kind of riding are you up for? You'll probably find it here!
Trail Description:
Cameron Park has something for everyone. The park is along the river offering some great scenery and fun trails. The trails are mostly singletrack, but there are a few fire roads as well. The first part of the trail, along the river, is relatively easy, but as you head into the woods, the riding gets more technical and starts to climb. There is a main trail and many smaller trails intertwined, some of which lead down to the cliffs and can be quite hazardous.
How to get there:
From Waco, head Northeast on HWY 84 to Cameron Park Drive. Turn left and follow Cameron Park drive to the park at the end of the road.
Additional Notes:
Though the majority of trails are for the intermediate rider, there are trails suitable for all skill levels.

This trail system is awesome. It dries out quick after a rain so come ride. There is something for everyone and enough trails that you won't get board with it.

This trail is pretty easy for an experienced rider, but it`s really, really fun. I haven`t been there in a while, so when it finally dries out some I need to go ride Cameron park again.

This is truly one of the best trail
systems I have seen. It is VERY well
maintained and marked. There is truly
something for everyone, from flat,
smooth trails down by the river, to
great rolling cross-country, to steep,
rocky downhills. There are probably
20+ miles of trail. They are all
intertwined so you can mix and match
and do a different ride every day.
Another plus is that there are a lot of
people out, so you are never too far
from help.

awesome park! note that as of 10/5/2008 the park is going through some some renovations, so some trails right next to the river could be closed for up to a year and a half (according to the newspaper). Don't be afraid tough, there are still plenty of trails to ride. It is definitely worth checking out.

I came here for my first ride (I'm a beginner) on my new Trek 4300. I was basically amazed at the variety of trails available. Everything from easy trails to down right suicidal trails are at Cameron Park! The trails are rated just like at a ski resort; green-easy, blue-intermediate, black-difficult. It was definitely worth the 1.5 hour drive from College Station, TX.

This park has it all folks. I've been at it here for 2 years. There's always something new to discover. Once you get off the river trail it's mainly intermediate level trails, real well maintained, but if you know where to look you can find some gems that'll drop you on your face in a second if your butt isn't a mile behind your saddle. Try Thor or Ho Chi Mihn or Cambodia...or Lock M Ups, yeah, Lock M Ups. I've seen an Austin kid fly straight off the trail and into a tree -- must have been Tweeder. Yeah you didn't think anyone was looking dork? Definitely drop in; it's between Austin, Houston, and Dallas, so plan on spending a few hours here with yer pals. Bring some beers and BBQ, we've got grills.

tweeder blows. they have races at this place so it is good enough to test most people. i'd like to see tweeder try to climb california 56. these trails have more shade than almost anywhere, so even when it's blazeing hot you can still ride. there is a map at the start so design your own loop. don't get off the centerline or you'll get ivy.
