Ride Summary:
Lots of single track that is smooth sailing - a mixture of hills too for that killer work out and some rocky stuff as well. Lots of tight turns - just a blast.

Trail Description:
Follow single track for 2.7 miles heading west (there is one gate crossing in this section) and at 2.7 miles you should be in a wash. You'll see a windmill to the right, across the wash. Go straight across the wash past another AZ Trail post and up onto single track. This is the beginning of a loop which comes back to this spot. Follow the single track until it ends at a jeep road. Turn left and proceed uphill. Now you have some climbs and some downhills - the climbs are rideable but tough. Proceed until you see another AZ Trail post indicating a single track taking off to the right (north) with a hiking sign. Follow this single track heading north and then east (there is a steep downhill that is rather rocky with tight switch backs) and then head back south through a wash. There are single track trails being built that assist you in avoiding deep sand. Just look for the rock cairns. Just past the windmill turn left across the wash and return the way you came. Enjoy!!!!!

How to get there:
Head north on Oracle Road from Tucson to the town of Oracle (you'll pass through town of Catalina). Drive down main drag of Oracle past the Circle K on right. Take a right on Mt. Lemmon Hwy. Drive 3.2 miles until you see end of pavement - at the fork go left and drive 1/2 mile on dirt road to trailhead. You'll see a small post on left side of road marked Arizona Trail and a small single track. Keep eyes peeled. Park alongside road and begin here.

Additional Notes:
More single track in the area to expore!
