Trail Description:
This is a great mix of crushing climbs, screaming downhills, and technical singletrack. Has breathtaking views of Puget Sound. Trails have it all, rocks, mud, roots, etc. Great place to ride.

If you park at gate the trail you first notice is "Pigeon Ridge" from there you will run into a network of trails including "Baker View", "Windsucker", "Limbo", "Shoots", and you guessed it "Ladders". These are all good hill climbs which lead into some great downhills. Technical trails include "Woodpecker Heaven", "Hoky-Ka-DoDo", and "Braveheart" to name a few.

How to get there:
From Seattle go I-5 North to Mount Vernon. Take Highway 20 West toward Whidbey Island, follow signs and stay on 20 West. Remain on 20 West and this will eventually lead you through Oak Harbor and on towards Coupeville. Stay on 20 West until you see signs to "Fort Ebey State Park". Follow signs, park at gate.

Absolute bliss. Even in the winter, these trails are dry and fun. No real evelation changes, but you'll find some grinder climbs for sure- and with those come the bomber downhill sections too. If you're up on Whidbey, this is the place to ride- guarantee you won't be disappointed!

I went here and loved all the single track, and also took my wife and 4 year old son and they loved Kettle's trail and Grancy's run

Tooooo Much Fun! This is a great place to camp, ride and drink barley pop's in the evening around the campfire. The trail network is outstanding, the ranger at the entrance gate is super cool and the maps of the area are great. The trails are all well marked and if they weren't who cares, you just go and ride and let the trails take you were they want to....as the old tail say's..."just follow your nose". Like the discription above says, there is everything here, my buddy from Japan couldn't believe the terrain variety, the beauty of the forest and the fun of ripping it up on Whidbey Island. Do it soon before it gets discovered and overran.

Rode Ebey several times and finally stumbled on Spencers. If you drop in on Mainline you will intersect with a trail on the right called Emily's Ridge. This is a good trail and heads straight up and at the top intersects with Pigeon Ridge and Spencers( labled double black diamond) and rightfully so. If you are a begginer steer clear of this trail as it is for advanced skill levels. Trail is very technical and has a lot of roots, rocks and drop-offs. Hope this helps.

I've been riding Ebey for awhile now. Great place to learn plus there are some more advanced runs you can get on that will make your hair tingle if you take them fast enough. The maps of the area are pretty good but there are trails that aren't on the map that are better than the ones that are. Don't be afraid to just take off out there. You can't get lost. The highway is on one side...the ocean on the other. If you like swithbacks that will make you work for your dinner, there are some good ones just at the south gate exit by highway 20. Just hook a left just before you go out the gate and start crankin'. TAKE YOUR OWN WATER!!! The water out of the taps at the capgrounds etc...it NASTY!! It's drinkable but it's way over treated. Watch for hikers on the ridgeline trail. They come out of the camp gronds that are just below the trail and they just sort of materialize right in front of you so be careful if youre a fast rider. There is a b

A blast. Something for everyone. Nice switchbacks and some great downhill blast with plenty of places to grab some air. Plenty of roots, stumps and trees to dodge as well. Enjoy and be safe.
