Trail Description:
St. Edwards State Park hosts a perfect collection of trails for any skilled rider. Trails weave in and out of each other connecting greenbelts parks and Lake Washington throughout this Juanita neighborhood. This maze of trails can make it difficult finding your way back at the end of your ride so allow plenty daylight. There are technical obstacles challenging enough for the most skilled riders and easier trails for the casual rider.
A big thank you to the Backcountry Bicycle Trails Club for their hard work maintaining this trail, extending it, and keeping it open. Great work!
How to get there:
From Bellevue follow I-405 North to exit 20A. Turn left onto 116th. It will turn into Junita Drive. Stay on Juanita Drive until you get to the entrance to the park just after a small shopping area.

Not closed by the state, the school wants to expand. They are planning on developing the property across from QFC. Plans have been drawn to accomodate at least one building and a parking lot to house a potential clinic.

Rumor has it that this park with it's 12 miles of trails is stated to be closed with the latest round of state budget cuts. write to your legislature, now.

Takes a trip or 2 to get this place wired. Lots of small loops that you can string together for a good time. Was there yesterday and some good jumps (3-8ft) remain but someone seems to have removed a lot of the best ones and the ladders.

St edwards is great. I am in the park everyday, and never get bored. Also st. edwards connects to bigfin hill park where there is a punp track, jumps, long balences, and more. St. edwards has many great trails that go down to the lake( but then you have to go up the hill) where you can take a swim in the water. There are wide trails and lots of single track. Lots of logs to get over and up and down hills. A great place to go mountain biking

this is an excellent after work play spot if you work (or reside) in kirkland, redmond, bellevue, or north seattle. the trails are wide and well groomed from all the hikers and locals. the trails are like hamburger; they won't satisfy you like a steak but they'll take away the hunger.

St Eddies rocks, if you're looking for a quick hit with every type of riding available. It's close in and has great parking now that the state has removed the $5 fee. Try not to park in the QFC parking lot. Also, go over to the Big Finn Hill side in the winter as it stays dryer. The St Ed's ravine gets a bit soggy after rains but is still very do-able.

Fun ride in a convenient location. Probably wouldn't make the drive further than 15-20 minutes though. It's pretty simple; wide trails, a few man-made obstacles, and some roots with a few logs. There's alot of people on the weekends, which takes away some speed and fun. The third section is pretty smooth for beginners, and there's a few sections intermediates will find challenging (but do-able and fun).
My first area I biked in and one of my favorites because of its proximity. If you're up for hill climbs, ride down to the lake and back up the road after the entrance to Bastyr.

big finn was one of my favorite trails not long ago,
but unfortunatley all of the jumps are gone, torn
out by the parks department. there are still a few
latters, but not much. if you like trail and single
track, i guess its ok, but thats not my style, so i
dont reccomend it anymore.
