Trail Description:
Victor Falls has many miles of trails that will take you several trips to explore. The area is comprised of fire roads connecting miles of spectacular singletrack. The area is however being clear-cut and converted into a housing development, but there are still plenty good trails left. The best way to experience these trails is to go and explore. Allow yourself lots of time because you can get lost. Pay attention to where you're going because you could find yourself a long ways from your car.
How to get there:
From Seattle, take Hwy 167 south. When you're almost to Puyallup, take the Hwy 410 East exit, towards Mt Rainier. Four miles past the Orting exit (climb the big hill out of the valley on 410) watch for SAFEWAY on the right, the last store at the east end of a large shopping strip. Turn right at the light. There is a BP station at this corner. Stay on this road 1 1/4 miles, turn right again on 120th St. Follow 120th (1 mile west) then turn left on 198th at the Tee. Vince Matt's Christmas Tree Farm is on the right about .6 mile south on 198th. It's the only parking lot you'll see out there. This is a private parking lot owned by the Christmas Tree Farm. Please do not park here from Thanksgiving through Christmas. The owner has been gracious enough to allow mountain bikers to use his lot the rest of the year. Show your appreciation and buy your next Christmas tree here.

Cascadia files for chapter 11 bankruptcy. I think I'm gonna revisit some of my old trails.

Unfortunately many of the best trails here are gone, but there is still some good riding to be had. You can no longer park at the tree farm and all the trails on that side of 198th are gone, but there are still some trails on the other side of the road. After you take the left on 198th, turn left again onto 128th and park on the side of the road. You will see 2 different trailheads on the right that will get you into the trail system there.

Victor Falls is pretty much dead.
With all the clear cutting and development each year less and less of it remains. With very few people riding there and maintaining the trails, many are completely overgrown. I’ve still been riding there weekly since its “closure” and find it harder each year to ride a variety of trails like in the past. Mostly out and backs with a lot of time spent on the access roads. If you’re interested in riding there for old time’s sake and to see the wonders of “progress” you can park in the Falling Waters neighborhood, it’s right by Victor Falls Elementary School. As for a decent ride, head up stand pipe hill to the ridge trail and then to deer park, check out the clear cuts from there. Oh yeah it’s better not to be seen, flashlight cops and all…

Have only ridden one time, about 3.5 hrs on the east side; decent but watch for atv's. West side looks more promising; parking- make the left off of 120th onto 198th and go to the top of the major hill, approx .7mi; there's a small gravel pull off on the left along a small residential road; from here you can easily access the entire trail system via 198th.
