Trail Description:
There are two sets of trails in this small wooded park. Maps are available at the park headquarters. "M" trails are main routes and "A" trails are offshoots and shortcuts. The turns are quick and twisty. You'll find some short climbs and drops on limestone bluffs but nothing that will let you open it up and rip.

M-1 is loaded with tight turns with some roots. M-2 is the most technical section with terrain ranging from limestone rocks to roots and drops. M-3 drops into a swampy area full of mud. Especially after is rains. The mud is like a cling on girlfriend. Extremely sticky! Be prepared for a tough wash job after riding in this mud.

Bike are allowed to ride in only one direction.

How to get there:
Drive or ride two miles south of Bonham on HWY 78. Turn left on FM271. Park is another two miles up on the left.

From the parking lot ride back along the entrance road (about .5-.75mi to the entrance of the park. M-1 starts about 50ft from the park kiosk.

Additional Notes:
Bonham, Texas.

Agreeing with Dr. Yeager, these trails were overrun in 2002 when we camped there. They have great potential! Fallen trees make it hard to walk much less bike.

This trail is in extremely poor condition. Over-grown and rutted. Even during the hot, dry Texas summer the grass in the field portions had been allowed to grow to about three feet. Many sections of the wooded single track had fallen trees that had not been cleared in some months. If a local group would adopt this trail it would be a plus.
