Spruce Railroad Trail

Trail Description:
This trail is a railroad that was built in WW1, but never used. It is a relatively flat railroad grade that is mostly hardpack dirt. The trail parallels Hwy 101. It is an extremely easy and scenic ride. After 4 miles the railroad trail ends. You can either turn back here or add to the ride with the 4.7 mile N. Shore road. This gravel road will take you back to Hwy 101 and the Fainholm Store and Camp Ground.

How to get there:
From Port Angeles, go West on Hwy 101 for about 20 miles. Turn left onto East Beach road. Follow East Beach road for 3.4 miles to the Log Cabin Resort and turn left just past it. The road ends after .8 miles. This is where the trail starts.
