Ride Summary:
A Cascade Classic? Not yet but it might be someday.

Trail Description:
It's not long but it will test your skills. Start with a climb and continue climbing for 9 miles. At 2.2 miles you'll come to Cedar Falls. Take a break and enjoy a little nature. Unless your part mountain goat you'll need a break. This trail has quite a bit of classic Cascade scenery; wild flowers, large old growth trees, views into a small valley cut by the creek, etc. If you can take all this in while climbing tight singletrack that frequently has baby-head boulders strewn across it, you're a much better rider than I. This is not a hammerhead trail, take your time and enjoy it.

Mileage log

0.0 trailhead in the southeast corner of the parking lot

2.2 miles Cedar Creek Falls is on your left

9.0 miles turnaround at the ridge and head back

9.0 to 18.0 crazy downhill, keep your eyes on the trail

How to get there:
From West of the Cascades take Highway 20 East to FS 200 (just past the Klipchuck Campground). From the East take Highway 20 West about 5 miles past Mazama. Take a left on to FS 200.

Great technical ride and good steady climb for 9 miles. This is not a ride for beginners. You should have good technical riding skills. Also as stated before there are lots of hikers on the 2.2 miles from the trailhead so take care.

Great ride. Note lots of walkers in last 2.2 miles (they're destination is the waterfall). Its easy to get ripping though here but take care to watch for others. Above falls is hard to climb and a pinball machine coming down. All this amongt the Aspens and Alpine rock setting.
