Just like the name implies there are not trees on this ride. However, there is a variety of technical single track.

Trail Description:
Trails range from novice to expert in this area. While there are not trees there are plenty of cacti and thorny bushes. They make for great crash stories! You'll find rough neck descents and technical climbs. There are several washouts where the water cut angry gashes three or four feet deep. There are also several bomber sections of downhill single track.

How to get there:
From Midland head West on State Route 158 to Hwy 302. Take HWY 302 West to Notrees. The drive is about 39 miles.

From Odessa head West on Hwy 302 to Notrees.

Additional Notes:
West Texas. Bring plenty of water and patches.

It hot in the Summer, warm almost every other day. There is no water or shade but the mostly technical single track trails are worth the trip. You must contact the Permian Basin Bicycle Association to gain access to the locked gate. For more information http://www.peytonsbikes.com/Windbusters/index.htm. Also, don't forget about the Coyote Classic MTB race in the Fall. -Matt www.biketexas.net
