Ride Summary:
One of the best rides in Houston. Location- Memorial Park.
Trail Description:
One of the few Texas trails inside a dense forest. There are a fist full of trails in Memorial Park. You will be sharing the trails with bikers and hikers. Be careful when rounding a turn. This is a good hard technical ride.
How to get there:
From I-10 go to I-635 and go South to Memorial Dr. Take Memorial Dr. East to the Park entrance and look for all the bikes. The Trail Head is near the soccer fields.
Additional Notes:
Trail is closed when it is raining.

Hey I started riding that trail back in 1990 With my dad and my friend Chris Gross. what an awesome place it was. Shortly after, I moved to Colorado and now I live in florida. the riding here is pretty good too belive it or not.But I'll be honest, I never forgot about the Ho Chi Minh Trail. It was about as fun as it gets. Maybe someday I'll ride it again. P.S. Any one Know a MTBer Named chris Gross Lost contact about 15 years ago. peace

Hey, Bob, why don't you lighten the hell up, there, dude. It's a mountain bike trail, not some sort of carefully-conceived, widely-broadcast political commentary on Communist Vietnam or the person of Ho Chi Minh. It's overreacting clowns like you that are "SLITTING THE THROAT OF THIS COUNTRY" to use your own ridiculous and infantile terminology.
Oh, and by the way, in case you care to know: this is a forum regarding MTB trails: where they are, directions to; what they're like, including topics such as relative difficulty; and overall enjoyment level from people who've ridden them. What does the name "Ho Chi Minh" have to do with any of that? Are you even a MTB rider or do you just randomly search the internet for names or references that YOU find offensive, so people who don't give a freakin' damn about your nonsense opinions get to read them anyway? Get off the forum unless you're rating the trail or serving some productive use. Just so

take I-10 to 610. a freeway not even in houston was listed under directions. you can also take 610 to woodway, go east, it turns into memorial, go right on picnic lane and trailhead is on the left of parking lot. look for mud and blood coming out and you're in the right place. this trail is rough and noobs go the wrong way so always HOLLA!!!

Is this rain ever going to stop and allow the dirt brethern to spank it once again. For the record one of the wettest summers in a long time has virtually closed the trails since June. Can't wait for fall and a different weather pattern to bring back the daily rituals. October should allow for some choice weather and riding. Banzai Dirt Dogs. Grease the chain squeeze the tires and get ready to spank it like you own it.
