With over 30 miles of flat scenic dirt trails this is an excellent place to see SO much wildlife, thick forests and lots of water! I have seen 10-14 foot gators sunbathing along the many water ways/lakes just off of the bike path (literally within 10 feet). I have witnessed gators attacking birds and eating fish. A large deer darted out of the woods across the bike path 100ft in front of me. Later a large family of deer walked onto the bike path about 200 feet ahead. There are SO many beautiful and large birds, plently of restrooms and benches. You have to try this at least once - you will be hooked!

I consider myself an intermediate rider. These trails are really nice.Flat long scenic trails that give you plenty of excersize.Plus i was 2 feet from a sunbathing gator!!!!!Its like a safari/ bike ride.Forget the zoo.....go ride here.I was here in march and it was warm.Im sure itll be super muggy in summer. Some of the trails ( muost of them) are allmsot just level with the swamps. they are adding a lot of new camping areas as ia type this( March 20th 2007) and itll be real nice for facilities. Bathrooms, camp spots, showers, all top notch.A good get-away with a chane to see some animals in the wild with no fences but not challenging unless you just never get out of the house and ride.

I really enjoyed this trail a few years ago. Watch out for the ticks and worms in the spring though! Fairly easy dirt trail, but lots of fun and exercise. Slightly difficult riding in some sandy areas. Watch out for gators!
