Trail Description:
This is a really good trail, maintain by the riders, its a real good workout, theres a few nice jumps, some tuff up hills and a few fast down hills and throw in some technical and you've got Laporte's finest mountain bike trail.
How to get there:
off Highway 2 turn north at fairgrounds follow until you come to the railroad tracks, hang a left turn onto lakeshore drive and its across from the boat ramps behind the baseball diamonds.

I have riden multiple trails now in the surrounding area. The La Porte trail and the Potato Creek trail are my favorites. The Chicken Noodle is now approximately 6 miles on one side and 2.5 miles on the other side close to the lake. The trail now has nice drop offs, jumps and a bridge with a 4 ft drop on the right side. I hope you will take the time and check out the trail. Yes...Signs will be a big help

These are great trails. The best ones are behind Lions field ballparks. but there are more off of Garden street to the right and left just before you get to Waverly. Technical and hidden sweet spots if your adventurous enough.

they are working on markers so it is getting easier to find your way around.Definitly check out the northside of Lakeshore Dr. behind the parking lot,go in past the shelter, look for arrows,it will take you along the lake, back into the woods. There's some climbs a couple of bridges and nice scenery. You follow around behind a horse farm and come out on LSD again right in front of the trailhead for the noodle{I think they're calling Lion's trail now.} I had a great ride and I met some firemen who were working on the trail who were very helpful.

No trouble finding my way yesterday, some storm damage, but mostly clean and fast.Nearly 6.5 miles if you do both sides, pretty hard climbs on north trail.

This is not a trail. It is a path to a ball park that was extended and signs put up. It is a total waste of time no matter where you are coming from. There are not signs to get you to the trail and once you actually find it, it last all of maybe 2 miles. There are little paths running in and out of the area and it is very difficult to figure out where the "trail" is. My party ended up spending the day riding our mountain bikes on the road around the lakes to try and get a workout. This should be taken off of the site, it was a waste of time and gas.

This tail is now about 6 miles if you do the section on the lake side of the street. It is also 100% single track. If you have not been there in a while you have to ckeck out all of the new additions. This trail is awsome!!

It is A very good trail but easy to get lost on. When you first enter you go up the hill and at the big hole in the back you go straight not up the hill and after you so around the hole go up that little hill.
