One of my favorite downhills. Start from Glen Alps parking lot and going as far as you like into bicentennial park. The two great variations on this trail are the Llama trail and the South Rim trail which are just little single tracks off the main trail. To completely max out this ride's potential. I almost never go south to indian because I go up there for the DH, not the long gravelly XC.

well im not sure if your talking about powerline or flat top because flat top is a fun downhill but highly illegal and powerline is crosscountry but legal. Id say that poaching flattop for a downhill is some of the best downhill otherthan bird ridge around

There are no signs posted that this is a hiking trail only. In Alaska we know how to share trails and allow for hikers and bikers. Remember us against the animals. Some of the biggest bear sign I've ever seen was on this trail and hikers may appreciate the bikers noise to clear the trail for them.

Pick a sunny day after a few days of dry weather to really enjoy this fun ride. Have a brew at the Brown Bear as a reward for the 2-3 hr. ride

The real name is Indian Valley Pass or Powerline Pass. It is a wonderful ride but the Downhill into Indian is very steep and the trail can be loose. It is a do able ride and there is no shame in walking.

Thia can be an awesome trail, but you need to go before the rainy season, and right after it drys out rom the winter. (late June) Also, this is a perfect time to go because its daylight at 2 in the morning. Which usually means no hikers.

This is not a mountain bike trail (hikers only!), so either don't ride it or do it when others are not there.
