(Watch for washouts and for sudden turns that can send you off of a cliff.

How to get there:
take 64w to brevard and then hang a right at the intersection with highway 2?? (the intersection before you go into pisgah. Then travel 10 miles? til you get to some road that has a few grain silos on the left u can see from the road. Travel to the end of the long long road and you will see some gates and signs, take the right-hand gate, you will come out of the left one at the end. This is impossible to ride backwards.

a better way to get to the trail head which in the north mills river trail head is to take interstate 26 to the asheville airport exit. turn on highway 280 going toward the airport. stay on 280 for about three miles. turn on to north mills river rd.(the 3rd stoplight after the airport) stay on north mills river road all the way to the end. turn right on wash creek road and then trun right on the next dirt road on the left that takes you over the cement bridge. this road will take you to the trail head.
