Trail Description:
Split Rock is a defunct Dinamite factory that exsisted during World War 1. It is now great place to ride and challange your skill. The area has many trails and more are being added all the time by other riders. While some trails are relativly easy, some will challange even seasoned riders skills.
How to get there:
There are several ways to enter the riding area, but the one with the best parking is: from Fairmount take Rt. 173 South. At the third traffic light turn right onto Split Rock Road. Follow Split Rock Road to a right onto Smoral Rd. Smoral Road is a dead end. Park at the end of the road and ride in.
Additional Notes:
The area is also used by motorcycles and ATV riders, keep an eye open for them.

This is now private property and posted. The land owner does not want anyone riding there.

Best trail ive been around the syracuse area. Definitly listen to the description above, the directions he gave to the trail are dead on. Be sure not to get too lost..i was wandering around for 30 mins trying to find my way out. Definitly need some suspension, FS, HT, disc brakes, and of course some sort of protection (shin guards, elbow guards). Plenty of trails to explore for an all day ride. Semi hilly trails to full up hill on a mountain trail. Crazy Fun.

Nice mix of terrain mud, gravel, rock. Water flows across or down some of the trails. Disc brakes are a plus here.
Be sure to check out the "remnants" in the southeast.
