Pump House Trails

Trail Description:
This trail was built by the Velo Augusta Bike Club in order to hold race events. It is short but technically difficult. The trail will throw a little bit of everything at you. Expect to see exposed roots, loose dirt, rocks, switchbacks, and short steep climbs.

How to get there:
Located off the Augusta Canal trail. Once at the pumphouse follow the railroad tracks into the woods. Then look for a little trail to emerge on your left.

Additional Notes:
Bring plenty of water and always wear a helmet.

This is a great trail in some pretty dense forest so if you're riding after any bad weather expect some down trees or branches.

you can also ride this trail clockwise or counter-clockwise, i like the counter-clockwise way best because it seems to be much faster, but either way you choose, it is a lot of fun.

This trail has many names but no matter what you call it Totally Tubular is the best way to describe it. We park at Lake Almstead and ride to the Water Pumping Station to warm up. It is super fast with good climbs, good fast straight aways, and plenty of good switch backs. It is marked pretty well so it is easy to navigate. FUN FUN FUN is what this trail is.
