Calverton

Trail Description:
This ride is great for beginners. There's not a lot of obstacles or scenery here, but it's a good opportunity to get your feet wet on some singletrack. Most of the trail is just zig zaging back and forth over tree stumps with no hills or anything of interest.

Rte. 25 in Calverton next to the Wading River motel

This trail has something for everyone. Beginners can enjoy a nice long ride through the woods and advanced riders can go on the black diamonds and test their skills. Scuttle hole has a nice climb and the 2 roller coasters are fun as well. The first one has five easy climbs and it isn't that difficult at all.

I thought this trail was a good idea, but there are entirely too amny small stumps in the middle of just about every section of the trail. I'd be more than willing to help remove some. The sheer number of them made this ride a little unpleasant at times for me, especially while trying to build and maintain some speed.

Great trail for those who like to think fast. Lots of swift turns, challenging trees, and nice little hops.
