Ride Summary:
Long steady dirt road climb followed by dreamy single track descents
Trail Description:
From the parking lot, head out on Elden Lookout Road and start your long climb for approximately 7 miles. At the 7 mile point you will see a trailhead through a fence. Follow it up 50 ft to Sunset trail. Take a left (right takes you to Elden Lookout about two miles further up)and enjoy the view and a tight section on the catwalk. Approximately 2 miles further down Sunset you'll come to a fork. Stay right and ride to Shultz tank 2 miles further. Once at the tank look for a trail across the parking lot. This is the start of Schultz Creek Trail. Tighten the helmet strap and enjoy the fast single track back to the car.
How to get there:
The parking lot is located on the corner of Elden Lookout Road and Schultz Creek Pass Road, 2 miles North of Flagstaff off Hwy 180.

Altitude: trail starts at 7,200 ft and goes up to 9,200 ft

why go up mt. eldon road when you can climb schultz creek trail then climb sunset trail to mt. eldon lookout.now you have earned the awsome ride down,the same way you came up.

Even after having four wisdom teeth pulled the day before, this place still put a smile on my face! Flagstaff is great, check out the Mogollon Brewery after you ride. Killer Stout!
