Trail Description:
This is a short semi-technical trail that is pretty close to home. There's a small loop, which includes some nice roots and bridges, that runs on both sides of a stream . No climbs(Florida, remember). On the other side of the road, there are some single tracks that pour off of a main dual track. Gets pretty muddy when it rains(I'm talkin DIRTY-DIRT MUDDY MUD!!). Not too crowded most of the time. Fallen trees change the trail quite frequently.
How to get there:
17-92 north, towards Sanford from Casselberry. Right on 427. Go down about 3/4 of a mile and park on the right side of the road. The trailhead is at the edge of the woods on the east side of the baseball field.
Additional Notes:
DON'T LITTER!!!

The posted directions are wrong for this trail. The trail is on 419, NOT 427. The more intense side is on the south side of the baseball field. Park at the field and go south. You really can't miss it.
The trail is lots of fun but really short. I still have not checked out the environmental center side yet but will eventually.

I use to go on these trails along time ago and just
went on them for yesterday for teh first in 4 years.
It's alot of fun, the best part is the baseball field
side because of all the technical riding and
bridges/jumps, before you turn around to go back
on the lil side go across paved trail and go on tha
tlil run, its fun too. I thought it was great, not to
many people out there either. I was on a bmx bike
and it was tricky with no brakes. The 5 mile side is
a little run down and needs some trimming/ tree
removal, and the mud was a lil much for my bmx
bike.

Just started mt bikeing after my buddy sparked my interest. This trail is ideal, especially if you are local. Lots of well thought out obstacles to have fun with. Including jumps and a teater totter that is a blast. Very well maintained trail. It's a big circle so getting lost is impossible. Great way to escape for an hour or two without having to drive forever.

I rode this trail for the first time on 10/19/08, and what I like is that is the closes I've discover so far, it's 37 miles from home. There are some single tracks and they all connect to a main trail, it was muddy, but I rode a trail made out of wood, that was amazing, the feeling was great. Next to the ball parks there is another single track, I encountered 2 snakes, and rolled over one. be careful. That single track is approximately 1 1/2 mile and it has some obstacle. This track is good, if you live close by. The site is beautiful

Ok so I went back out to the trail today (07.9.08) and they finished the paved bike trail, So now you can cross over the paved trail and go right back on to the dirt trail that used to be there. Trail needs a little bit of work on the other side of the trail some of the trees grow in, but still a nice ride with some jumps!

Trailblazer is right! :(..I used to bike here along time ago, I just got back into MT. Biking just a couple weeks ago took my buddy with me and got almost half way down and they cut everything down and made a paved bike path :( very sad to see! still have some trails on the other side of 419 where the mud walk is.

Fun for the XC rider. I wouldn't care too much to try this on a bike with too much suspension. Way too many little dirt mounds to get over. Definitely a fun way to kill an hour or two. Please wear a helmet, this gets a little hairy in a few places. Try the trails by the baseball field and if you come out on the access road stay to the left and then make a left the trail will pick back up on the left. If you come out on the road, keep going to the right, if you see the access road go down it and take the trail to the left. It's hard to get lost. If anyone wants to do a weekend ride email bike@endloser.com, I live right down the road.

Parts of the trail have been shut down after damages from the hurricanes. Fotrunately, directly across the street (419) is a more technical trail. The trail enters the forest to the left of the softball field. It does not get as muddy as the environmental center and I find it to be much more challenging/fun.
