I've been riding this trail for months and there's some great places to ride. You can start behind Anaheim Hills Elementary and choose from a couple different trails. From this point, you can go south to Irvine Park, east over the Weir Canyon trail, or west down Serrano. I'm an average rider just looking for weekend fun on my bike. Nothing crazy but there are some areas that some of the more aggressive locals like to ride.

If you look in Google Maps, Type is Anaheim Hills Elementary, and you can see a great overhead of the trail. Be sure to select the satelite view.

I can give great directions and yes this trail still exists. I live about 1/2 mile below robbers peak and i ride this trail every weekend. The best way to get there is to take the 91 FWY to imperial highway south. Imperial hwy will turn into Cannon. Turn left on Serrano ave and go about 1 mile, maybe a mile and a half. On your right hand side is a school called anahiem hills elementry. Park there and the ride begins at the far side of the school. One you get to the top of the first hill there is a small wooden hut with maps of the entire park. I have made loops as long 17 miles long. It is a great ride, some very fast sections, some good technical sections including four and five foot drops. Very worth the drive, even if it take an hour or more to get here!

Can anybody give better directions to this trail?

This system of trails can provide a great i hour sprint or an 5 hours cross country epic. AWSOME. They are trying to close this one too to build more houses. Go to the trail and get a flyer for more info.
