Some of you are confusing mohican wilderness with Mohican state park. They are two completely different trails. Mohican State park is 24 miles, mohican wilderness is the shorter trail of about 8 miles.

The trail is now 24 miles, very well maintained, signs everywhere. Not technical, ups and downs, physical because it's long. Need a lot of water! A lot of fun.

The best! If you like scenery, big climbs, rock gardens, and ballz-out big ring sections, you'll love this "nature park"! Vultures constantly circle overhead "just in case" the bridges, roots, or rock gardens provide them a bonanza! If you go early, you could get lucky and see an Eagle. A fog tends to hang in the morning, some portions are pines, ferns, fog... really cool riding then - worth a camp-out to do an early a.m. ride!

If you're not in shape, stay home. The climbing is steap and will give you a heak of a workout. That being said, it's a lot of fun. Worth the trip from anywhere in Ohio.

If you like tight, rooted, rocky, singletrack climbs, this is the trail for you. never too hard but is makes you work. Trail needs to be marked a little better in some spots. At some points you feel like you're riding where you shouldn't be (i.e through someone's farm.) Well worth the drive. I rode it when it was wet and it made the trail even more techinical.

As high quality of singletrack as you can find...just as quality as the Knob but constructed with a more natural flavor.
