I love this ride! Start at the bottom-the downhill is worth it. I rode up castle tr, down Parmalee Gulch, then meadow tr back to castle tr. I wish I had the endurance to ride some of the other loops at the top! This is a fun and challenging ride.

I have to give this a five. I grew up in Lakewood, 7
miles away from the Morrison side. This was the
first trail I biked back in 1988 my pre front
suspension days. I broke so many parts on that
bike on Mt Falcon. I sure was happy when I got my
Rock-shocks! It's still a bumpy but Great Ride. Now
I live in Aurora... way too far to make it there 3 days
a week like when I lived in Lakewood.

I love this trail. My hill time is usually around 38:30 to the gazebo. Wish I could do better. Maybe one day.

ye-ha! This is a fun trail. Coming down is the best part - as long as you've got nice padded gloves. The climd up is 2.5 miles and a 2k' elevation gain - certainly an endurance test.

Jose is right, start at the bottom, but make sure you're in shape, or you will get passed by some serious runners, which is always a wonderful ego boost. Prefare yourself for a nice jarring downhill, hence why they are called the Rockies!!

Don't be a weenie, start at the bottom and then ride the whole top. Devil's Elbow is a nice top loop no many people use (off the Ute trail). This is a lung buster when climbing from the bottom parking lot.

directions to the west entrance are 285 west to Indian Hills, rt on Parmalee Gulch Rd. Follow the signs to Mt Falcon. Makes a much less grueling ride to start from the top and play on the loops
