Ride Summary:
A ride in the high country just below the Rincon Wilderness and dropping into the Tanque Verde Canyon. Requires carrying bike across Tanque Verde Wash.
Trail Description:
0.0 Start riding.
2.6 Continue right at the junction.
3.4 Veer left over cattle guard at junction near ruins.
3.5 Turn left at junction.
3.9 Turn right on to indistinct 4WD road.
6.6 Turn right at T-junction.
6.8 Turn left. To the right is the descent for High Chiva Loop. Turn right after a short distance.
11.0 Keep right at junction near Mesa de lo Oso Tank on your left.
11.9 Star right at junction with road.
13.2 At bottom of hill, turn to the right into Tanque Verde Wash.
13.3 Turn left to the closed gate and follow left fork of the wash.
16.3 Stay to the left.
17.1 Road will join from right, continue straight.
How to get there:
From Tucson head east on Tanque Verde Road, this will become Redington Pass Road at end of pavement. Drive 4.5 miles up Redington Pass Road to a parking area on the right. Trail starts at end of parking lot.

just had to rectify the one star posting, not my
favorite trail around tucson, but it is the favorite of
many i know, get "the map" and you won't have a
problem with gettin lost. all double track, awesome
downhill section that resembles a rock mogul field,
not bad to have full suspension but men can go
without
