Ride Summary:
Great little in and out that you can ride in the snow.
Trail Description:
Look for the trail across from the fish hatchery. Go about a half a mile on the trail and then it will fork. Go left. At about one mile it crosses a wooden bridge, keep going, and at 3.8 miles you cross another bridge. If you keep going, it'll get a bit rough, but that's why we're out here! Go up this tough, steep section and don't worry if you walk a bit. The turnaround is at 4 miles. Have fun on those drop offs!
How to get there:
Take Interstate 55 west out of McCall to New Meadows. Take US 95 north toward Riggins (EXCELLENT rafting here) and turn left at the well marked Rapid River turn about four miles south of town. Follow the road to the fish hatchery and park.

I'm not a huge fan of this trail. It is fun, but I tend to ride it early in the season (while McCall is snow covered) and it kicks my butt every time. Be careful of the small drops in the trail because you just might end up in the river 5

Great Trail, but wear your knee high clips, saw two rattle snakes. The location of the trail is Riggins, not McCall, Please give credit where due.Cheers,Todd
