If you find yourself in Valdez get your hands on a bike and head up this road. there are trails that branch off into a cross country ski area, which looked inviting but were too wet for me to ride. Climb and climb all the way up into the mountains, then turn and look back over Prince William sound.

How to get there:
Mineral Creek road runs north out of the north end of Valdez (Hanagita St)

Additional Notes:
Beware of bears and four wheelers.

It's a nice easy ride, but it really shares nothing to be challenged. Great scenery though, because as you bike down the trail you get surrounded by the lush mountains and the winsome river. Make sure to do this trail during a nice and sunny day, to get the best results.
