This loop features some extremely challenging climbs up some nasty rocks, lots of ups and downs throughout, and some killer downhills. You will experience some great technical sections and some smooth fast sections. Deep sand, ruts, rocks, boulders, switchbacks, roots and logs are a few of the obstacles awaiting you.

How to get there:
From I-5 get onto HWY 118 heading West to Kuehner. Exit here and turn right. You will see the trail and plenty room to park.

The hubby took me on a ride up Santa Susana Pass to Rocky Peak. From there we took the fire road up to Chumash trail. It was a difficult climb (gives a feeling of accomplishment when you reach the top!) but worth it for the downhill. There were a couple places I had to hike-a-bike but my husband went down like it was nothing. Had to take streets back to the car. The ride took about two hours. Be careful, my husband saw a mountain lion about a year ago (on a rock before Chumash trail).

Lots of ups and downs. Rocky trail climbs. Not scenic. Not much to see but weeds, dirt and rocks.
