Trail Description:
From your car, head back down Sunset and turn right onto Paseo Miramar. Follow this up to the gate and the beginning of the fire road. The fire road continues the steep climbing trend for a bit. Because of ruts and loose dirt, the climb is fairly technical and will give you a good workout for 2.5 miles to the Parker Mesa Overlook Junction. Turn left here for a nice side half mile side trip with a great ocean view. Otherwise, continue on another 3.5 miles to Trippet Ranch. Keep right here and continue up the steep road to Eagle Springs. Keep right here too and it's another 2 miles to Hub Junction. Go right from here on East Temescal Fire Road. After about 1.2 miles you'll see a trail on your left. This is a fun 10 mile stretch of singletrack that goes to Will Rogers State Park. Once at the park, exit the park and turn right onto Sunset and follow it back to your car. Watch out for heavy traffic.

How to get there:
From HWY 10, take P.C.H. and then turn right onto sunset. Go up sunset and turn left at the first light. Park here.

ATTENTION! if you had any intention of riding this trail, do so after the rain season! it has just been buldozed and filled with sand, and its a mess...very difficult to ride over the buldozer tracks and the loose sand for the uphill parts. 8/29/04

I believe the directions were given in reverse. All of the riders were going in the opposite direction and started at will Rogers Park. It was 80% uphill for the 8 miles.
