Ride Summary:
Single track baby!

Trail Description:
Single track in New York City? Sounds crazy but it is true. So much single track you will love this park. A large circuit of trails that provide enough variety to make riders of all abilities happy. The park itself is seldom used and typically overgrown. Great for riding but sounds a little risky riding alone in the Bronx. No offense meant to the good people who live in the area but it is New York.

How to get there:
Van Cortlandt Park is located in the Northern Bronx and is accessible by I-87; Hwy 9; 233rd Road; and the Mosholou Parkway.

Additional Notes:
Ride with a group.

BlackBerry S750 Smart Phonehave largely been defined by physical, QWERTY keyboards, bar a few exceptionally poor efforts (we're looking at you, Storm and Storm 2) that used a touchscreen.

as a cross country runner, i'm always at vcp, and i can assure you that there are some great hills once you get onto the cowpath (cinder trail with the rabbit post signs. Just watch out for the wood blocks when going on the initial hills....

Strangely enough, its true. This park has enough single track to give you two solid hous of fun. However it's tough to find the trails. I've built many trails and riden this park since 1992. Need a trail guide contact me via friends. I can be reach at the east tremont bike shop. Ask for club captain.

This is a great trail, just went biking there yesterday, we are so excited about it, we are planning to ride the whole trail all the way to the end soon, stay over in a motel and then ride back the next day. Oh, FYI, though this trail is right off of Van Cortland Park it is not in the park. Van Cortlandt Park is 1,146 acres and have some other bike trails which are inside the Park, here's some more info: http://www.nycgovparks.org/sub_your_park/vt_van_cortlandt_park/vt_van_cort_park.html
