Ride Summary:
Ups & downs on single- & doubletrack. Located in Deer Creek State Park

Trail Description:
Look for the signs leading you to the start of the trail. At about a half mile into the continue straight through an intersection and keep to your left heading downhill. Then turn right on to State Park Road. Follow until you take a right on to Fire Tower Road. Begin climbing for about 2.5 miles. At this point you'll reach Thayerville Lookout. You'll see a "T", take a left following the white markers. A short downhilll will follow to Corduroy Road. At 4.8 miles turn right at an intersection to Indian Turnip Trail. The markers are now blue and continue to follow these. Enjoy this fun technical singletrack section! Take a right crossing a bridge and continue to follow the blue markers. At the next section take a right continue uphill with powerlines above. Find the intersection for Meadow Mountain Trail and take a left, now following white markers. At just over 6 miles you'll recognize the start of the ride. Continue straight ahead following on the white trail until reaching the Thayerville Lookout Tower. Take the downhill road about 2.5 miles turning left at State Park Road and head back to the parking lot.

How to get there:
From Cumberland, MD take I-68 to Exit 14 and on Route 219, head to Thayerville. Before crossing a bridge, take a left on Rock Ledge Road. Find State Park Road about 2.5 miles down the road. Another 2.5 miles, turn right on Waterfront Road, next a quick right and park at the far end of the parking lot.
