The king of the mountain trail is 8.3 miles from bottom to top with about 1800 feet in elevation change. The record is 49 minutes, just going up. Fun trail, I recommend it whether you are taking the lift or climbing it yourself.

This trail is great for lazy climbers like me! Take the ski lift up and cruise down some great loamy singletrack. Ride back up and do it again!

Fun trail, but come on, park at the base of the ski area, ride the 8.2 + miles up and then you've earned the fun down!

If you love to climb, this is the trail for you. I think the climb up is about 13 miles, it is not very hard just long. If you are not used to the elevation then this trail is not for you. If you are looking for a cooler ride because of the heat during the summer, Sandia Peak is perfect. You will find plenty of shade in the trees, and a great breeze on the way down. Be careful not to go too fast going down hill, it can be dangerous. It is best to go with a buddy for safety. If you would like a guided ride Call any Bike World and ask for me. Give them your information so I can call you. I don't mind showing poeple the trails, I love to ride. Be safe out there, Waylon

You can't take your bike on the Tram, but you can drive around to the other side where the ski area is and use the lifts. The surrounding trails are much more fun though, Faulty,Tree Spring, 10K etc....
