hi The park that you call inwood park is named Van Cortland park.Inwood park is another park that is around 210th.st. and broadway in manhattan.Van Cortland park,s trail head is next to the boat house and lake off 240th.st.and trial is the old putman train line and it gos,s 30 to 40 miles up IF you look hard.and there are hundreds of smaller trails off that. main entrance to Van Cortland park is off 240th.st.and Bailey ave in the Bronx. and as Van Cortland park being safe (well it,s not that safe!!) NEVER RIDE THERE ALONE! but it is a very beautiful park! I have lived next to this park for over 39 years!and i know every bump there.another great park is Graham hills park in pleasantville NY.about 25 miles above Van Cortland park!and only mt.bikers go there to ride. and this place is very safe to ride! well have fun and ride well Larry S. from WWW.WMBA.ORG

I really would love some more detailed directions on finding these trails by car. I tried last year to no avail, and it seems an excellent and close ride
