Trail Description:
You'll find tons of single track and 17 trails to choose from in this area. You can buy a local trail map from Blue Mt Sports for a $1. Some of the trails start and end in Jim Thorpe. Others cut through the Mauch Chunk Park.
How to get there:
Take Route 209-S off the NE Exit of the Turnpike to the town of Jim Thorpe.

if your in JT, skip blue moutain and go to the bike shop by the stop light. its a nicer shop and they run all kinds of great adventures out of there like rafting and skirmish paintball too.

The trail map i got from that place was such crap. Don't listen to that stuff. That map tooks my friends and me 9 miles out of way. Yet the trails were orgasmic.

IF you have 2cars park one in downtown JT and the other one in summit hill leave from the minimart on an old railroad switchback converted to trail ..stay high the whole way and you come out overlooking JT sick downhill at the end for all you crazys or easyer way down for you other cats .later

Alot of great riding for all abilities. Stop at Blue Mt. Sports & get their trail book ($7). Favorite trail include American Standard, Uranium Road Loop,& Twin Peaks.

Try the Maunch Chunk Ridge trail. It is one of the "official" marked trails. A 2-hour mostly uphill section is finished with a crazy downhill rocky singletrack that goes straight down the side of the mountian.

The two hardest technical rides I know are located outside Thorpe, one on Mt Pisgah the other is the American Standard.

You can bike to this trail from the Lehigh Canal trail in Wiesport, Pa, Its about 4 miles to Blue Mt. Sports. Its a beginner trail, mostly flat.
