Ride Summary:
A super easy ride. More of an around town trail/path than a true mountain bike ride.

Trail Description:
sure to stop by the pier for a great view of the Hudson River and the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Located in Rockland County, Nyack to Piermont Rail Trail is flat with one steep section on the pavement. The path is roughly 5 miles one way, if you go as far as the Piermont peer. Otherwise, it's about 3.5 miles from Nyack to Piermont. Option to return via Piermont Avenue. Trail consists of dirt, pavement and packed gravel.

0.6 Path crosses over NYS Thruway .

1.00 Pass a gate and a sign reading Hader Park, Village of Grandview and continue south.

2.00 You'll reach a four-way intersection where you'll see another Hader Park sign. Follow the sign. DO NOT go to the left.

3.30 You reach Ash Street, where you'll see an old station house on your left. This has been converted into a residence and, word has it, the owner is not too thrilled about bikers hanging out by his property. The trail continues across Ash Street for another 5.5 miles or so, but only leads you into a loop that ends about half a mile from where you are right now. If you'd like to get a drink, grab some food, or take a rest, this is a good place to end your trip, as Piermont Landing is just down the hill on Ash Street.

If you choose to visit Piermont at this point, make a sharp left off the trail onto Ash Street and walk your bike to the first corner. Make a sharp right and continue walking your bike down the steep hill. At the bottom, you'll be at Piermont Avenue. In front you is a small waterfront park with some great art galleries, restaurants, and a bike shop. To your right, down Piermont Avenue, are several cafes and a large convenience store that's very biker-friendly. Take some time to see Piermont.

From here, you may also want to visit Piermont Pier, where you can picnic by the Hudson River with a great view. It's only about another mile from here on a paved road. If you don't see signs for the pier, ask anybody how to get there.

To return to Franklin Street Park, you can either return to the trail or ride North on Piermont Avenue. There are some great old houses along the way. Take Piermont Avenue approximately 2.5 miles to Broadway and make a left. Go to Cedar Hill Avenue and make another left. The park is two blocks up on your right. (This should look familiar, as it's the way you arrived by car.)"

How to get there:
From the New York Thruway North, get off at Exit 10 and turn right onto Clinton Avenue at the traffic light. Go one block and turn left on Broadway. Go through town and turn left onto Cedar Hill Avenue. Look for Franklin Street Park two blocks on your left. Park on the street and begin the trip on the paved path (Raymond G. Esposito Memorial Trail) that starts behind the children's playground. You will be heading South.

It's not an off road trail but if you continue through that intersection underneath the bridge. t continues on a paved walk/bike trail that I believe continues on for Acer Iconia PC Tablet dengan Windows 8
