Ride Summary:
A short loop that you can do laps on. Awesome riding because it offers so many different challenges.
Trail Description:
Triangle trail is the most popular trail on Long Island. A short loop but it will test all of your abilities. Try to see how many times you can do it in an hour. Serious studs have been able to do three to four loops in 60 minutes. From the Triangle you can connect with the Greenbelt trail and ride it all the way into Bethpage State Park and even further.
How to get there:
To reach Stillwell, take the LIE to the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway (Rt. 135) North and stay on 135 until the 2nd to last exit. This Rt. 25 (Jericho Turnpike) heading EAST. Stay on Rt. 25 to the third light, which is Southwoods Road. Make a left on Southwoods, pass Syosset High School on your left and look to your right for a sign that says "Stillwell Field." Turn in and drive all the way to the furthest point east in the parking lot. You'll see other bikers there!

some parts of this trail are fun, but most of it is not. the trail is a mess, destroyed by renagade dirt bikes and quads. the uphills are full of broken boards and watchout for those nails. the black diamond section is tough and that's where you earn your stripes. personally, i don't like the trail and i live 5 minutes away from it. i rather drive 40 miles to rocky point.

I used to love this trail, then I started
going upstate and found real MTB

compete with anything from
Westchester north!

This is a great trail. Some technical stuff but short enough to handle. One somewhat nice climb. The actual name of the trail though is Stillwell Woods.
