Trail Description:
Check out the trail map above the outer parking lot. There are often maps you can take with you as well. (very handy). If not, familiarize yourself with the map and plan your route. A good pace to start is the outer red loop. Riding this loop counter-clockwise offers a good taste of the types of trails available within the park. Start this loop in the field on the right side of the main entrance road. The climbing can be tough, the terrain is technical and the views are stunning.

How to get there:
From Hartford, Take I-384 East to Exit 5 (Route 85). Follow Route 85 South for 5.3 miles to the park entrance.

I tried this track the other day. I liked it. It was not as easy as i thought it would be ( i was think of it as a mall road) and i realized what an intermediate track is which this one is. I am just a beginner though. I realized for the first time a bike with suspension will be a help, mine had no suspension . At times sitting on the seat is not possible because of rock in the way. Well i have not explored the full track yet. I tried the red and the white track. The white track is the toughest and not ridable on bike as far as my experience is concerned. It is also narrow. Got to complete it may be next weak. I would recommend this track and advise that this is an intermediate track so beginner watchout.

Great place to expose new riders to mountain biking. Terrain is varied but not overly technical. There is a connector trail to Case Mt. off of the red loop for endless fun.

Instead of starting counter clockwise, go clockwise. And then turn around and go counter clockwise. You will find the trail is a lot easier going counter clockwise. It's about a ten mile loop, nice ride have fun!
