Cranbury Park used to be a private estate. It is now open to the public and a popular picnicking spot. The main attraction is a historic mansion on the property. Though there aren't a lot of trails, several loops around the mansion can be a fun ride. The better trails are out away from the mansion. Look out for hikers.

How to get there:
From Norwalk, go North on Route 7 Turn right onto Kensett Street. Follow Kensett for about a mile to a stop sign at the end of the road. Cranbury Park is across the street.

Additional Notes:
Site of Connecticut's oldest mountain bike race, The Jack Rabbit Run.

It's not bad trail wise, but they need to clean it up. There are too many things sticking up that you can't see through the leaves. I just went out last weekend, and aside from the dogs almost knocking me over, and the crap that was all over my tires because nobody picks up their dog crap, and the frisbee golfer who threw a frisbee at my head... well, i guess it's not that great. I wish that there were more jumps. There are some nice hilly areas to hit, and some great declines over big rocks, and fallen limbs, but I wish that I landscape architect would go in there and clean it up a bit for us.

Excellent trail to build upon. Needs some more jump, but has decent logs and rocks. Build it. ROck it!

I live right down the street on Grumman, and come here every weekend when i can, but since i am only 14, i sometimes have too much work, but it is really worth a trip. The dogs are very tame, and the trails expand all the way back into Wilton. There are creek crossings, and fallen logs for the advanced riders. There is definately more than just 10 miles of trails.

If you bike along the right side of the field, and cut across the grass on the right of the water fountain, and head toward the back woods, and turn right after a while, the trails start to dissappear. I love wandering over here and make my own paths. It is easy to get lost, so if you've never been here, i wouldn't sugguest this

This part offers some nice trails. The only problem - no other riders, only hikers with dogs (the stupid kind - not on a leash, running alongside your bike and barking at you), and frisbie golfers.

Stop all this "Mountain Biking God" crap - this place has plenty of fun stuff if you look for it. Go for the single track stuff off the main double track & fire road trails. If you some of the rock garden stuff out by the NE corner aren't challenging, then call me Mary.

A very easy park to ride, not much in terms of technical or hills, but you can get a speed work out. Just watch out for all the dog crap, it can make for a smelly ride home ! I would recommend Wilton Woods or Ninham Mt instead for technical riding.

unbelievably insane and technical. only advanced riders should try. ride at your own risk.
