Ride Summary:
Big River Management Area is an 8,000 acre maze of hills, forests, and swamps.
Trail Description:
Compared to Arcadia, Big River offers riding which is less technical but faster. You will be challenged in spots! Beware of sandy areas that have been "created" by motocrossers. When wet, Big River is mud city! All kinds of mud and none that your bike will like. Remember this is a maze of trails so keep track of time and try not to get too lost. There are 25-30 miles of trails in 8000+ acres - most are NOT MARKED! You might want to get your hand on a topo map of the area if one exist.
How to get there:
From the North, follow I-95 South to exit 6 (Route 3). Head left to Route 3 South. Take the second left to Burnt Sawmill Rd. Park at the top and head down Burnt Sawmill to find the trails. From the South, head up I-95 North to exit 6 (Route 3). Go right onto Route 3 South and follow the same directions.

The trails are good once the spring rains have dried out. When wet it is a pain because the mud is thick and the puddles deep.

The trails here have always been top notch, although motorcycles have changed it for the worse over the years. Now there's a freakin neighborhood going in right in the middle of the best part.Damn!
