Trail Description:
You start this ride with a hike-a-bike. When you get to a point where you can ride, follow the trail where you can. This ride is very technical and rocky. Don't be lulled in by the short distance, it will test you. There are a lot of drop offs & steep narrow trails on rocky formations. But the ride isn't all! There are some pretty nice views from the top. You can add to your experience by exploring some of the trails South of 165.

How to get there:
From Providence head South on I-95 then take 165 West. At Ten Rod Rd. Rt. 165, West of White Church (1.5 miles) on 165. At the Mt. Tom trail cross 165 and climb the rocks to the start of the rideable part.

Mt. Tom Trail is actually part of the Arcadia Management Area in Exeter, Rhode Island. The area comprises of 15,000 acres of prime forest with about 60 miles of singletrack. Mt. Tom trail, although short in duration, is an excellent trail that tests even the best. Those not familiar with the area can obtain a map at the main parking lot on the right side of 165 (north side) just past the white church. Another way of learning the trails to to meet up with one of the Rhode Island Mountain Bike Patrol members who patrol the area.
