Hey Kona I bet you ride in super challeging places like in colorado or australia, well this is alabama the geographical layout is far different plus this trail is for convenience, exercise, and fun and simple recreation I bet you own a 4,500 dollar Trek remedy and you ride it on hard technical dh trails that have drops of 110 degrees hey if its not fun then don't ride it and stop complaining and go ride your trail with 1000 ft decents and try Oak mountain state park in birmingham its an hour away from sokol a lot better they have blood rock its insane, any way why I say this to you is me and 15 other guys built this trail 15 years ago and have been adding on to it its not the best but we made something out of nothing and try working your way through trees and brush as well. hey come back and help us build another trail especially designed for you will make it epic will bring in big thousand pound rocks and make a steep hill that goes down 8

The trail system is a good one if you live in Tuscaloosa...its a ten minute drive from my house and offers different levels of challenges depending on my mood. regardless of what one reviewer said, sokol has its technical moments and takes one a while to totally master, and when that day comes, you can push yourself harder to keep it a challenge. this is a trail that is really all about how much your up for and how much you put into it.

This trail was so completely boring. No elevation changes, twisting back and forth for two hours through trees. You could do it on a K-mart bicycle and still dominate it.

Very few signs, I managed to stay lost in the trails most of the time. consists of interconnecting trails. Good ride if you have already rode Lake Lurleen. Try www.druidcity.org/ for directions to Lake Lurleen, great ride!
