Trail Description:
The trails in the Huntsville Land Trust consist of rocky technical trails, stream crossings, screaming descents, and some extremely challenging sections. The best route is to ride up the Old Railroad trail and connect with the Bluff Line trail then the Wagon Trail then for a screaming ride down, take the Waterline Trail. Keep an eye out for the caves.
How to get there:
From HWY 231, head East on University/Pratt. Follow Pratt through the 5 points area and up the mountain. A few curves past Toll Gate Road you will see a sign and parking lot for the Huntsville land Trust on the right.

I live near these trails and ride them often. There are
many challenging and technical sections. It's a good
place test and improve your skills as a rider. Plus,
three caves is always a pretty cool sight to see.

Just got back from this trail... do not waste your time. whoever said watertrail was a "screaming ride down" was trying to be funny, b/c it is NOT rideable. this is not a bike trail it is for hikers. one of the worst biking experiences of my life. the fun downhills were few and far between. please please please dont make the same mistake I did and take these trails.

The ride may be ruff (waterline to three caves, then back up almshouse to the lot), but the downhill spurts make it all worth it. The climb up almshouse will really get your heartbeat up! Best to pack a snack to eat at three caves, you'll need the carbs for the ride up! FANTASTIC ride/hike!

Been riding for two years aggressively and still don't like these trails... they beat you to death and aren't maintained very well. This trail is better suited for hikers and masochists.
