Ride Summary:
Beginning with a 1600 ft climb and ending with steep technical descents this isn't a trail for first timers.

Trail Description:
At the junction of fire roads 34 and 25, start climbing up to the top of Shenandoah Mt.

3.9 - Intersection of F.R. 25 and F.R. 85. Turn left on to F.R. 85.

5.7 - Turn left onto F.R. 85-4. If you pass a spring on the left you have gone to far (look closely).

6.5 - Turn left onto Bother Ridge Trail. The trail head is marked with a yellow diamond and begins as Double Track.

It will turn into steep and twisty singletrack that will test the best!

10.0 - Bother Ridge Trail returns to the junction of F.R. 34 and F.R. 25.

How to get there:
Beginning in Harrisonburg, VA head west on route 33 towards Brandywine. From elsewhere in the state, at the junction of I-79 and route 33, head East. Continue on Rt. 33 to Rt. 28 at Seneca Rocks and go South. Pick up Rt. 33 again at Judy Gap and head to Brandywine. From Brandywine, head South on rt. 21 taking a left onto road 24. Follow to a parking area that should be clearly marked.

Idid the downhill portion it was fun single track. A bit rocky and undermaintained and steppe.

I highly suggest getting this map for any outdoor activity in this area.National Geographic Map #791Staunton/Shenandoah MTNisbn #1-56695-119-4it cost 9.95 and is a excellant topo for this area.

LOL there is no freaking parking area but hey its still a fun ride to the top. I've never done the downhill portion. this route i believe follows the same route of the mountain mamma bike race.
