The Battelle Woods trail consists of dirt, clay and gravel. A fun ride.

How to get there:
From Middlebury head east on Route 7 to Washington Street. Stay on Washington St. until you reach Seminary Street. There are parking lots on either side of the road.

I have ridden through battelle woods many times. There is only about 3-4 miles of trails total because the Means Woods on the other side of the road is off limits to bikes, it is a wildlife refuge.
