Trail Description:
Scenic views of Mount Hood from the top. Technical descents and easy cruising.
Head south from parking lot on FS2610 to Frog Lake. Take left on FS220. Climb 2 miles on FS220 to the intersection of FS220 and FS221. FS221 goes right but stay left on FS220. FS220 ends at a clearing. Take left onto FS221. Follow FS221 to a clear-cut. Walk bike across clear-cut. DO NOT LOSE OR GAIN ELEVATION. At the edge of the woods look for a trail. At this point it is a rough downhill descent. Within a few hundred yards see orange and yellow diamond shaped markers on the trees that border the trail. Trail drops you into another clear-cut at bottom of the slope. Walk bike out of woods and head right quickly you will come to a gravel road FS250. Follow FS250 downhill to FS2610. FS2610 is on the right and easy to miss. Turn right on FS2610 and follow road back to snow park.
How to get there:
From the intersection of US26 and OR35 (about 50 miles east of Portland and 40 miles south of Hood River) head south on 26 for about 5 miles to the Frog Lake Snow-Park. Snow-Park is on the left.
