Ride Summary:
Several small loops that make up one circuit.
Trail Description:
While 9.7 miles is not a long ride the single track is technical enough to make this an advanced ride. You'll find several narrow stands of single track. Combine them all and you have your loop. If you are in shape you should be able to do this once twice in a day. Be sure to admire the view of Ouachita State Park.
How to get there:
From Ouachita State Park go north on road 30200. For more information call the Ouachita National Forest 501-321-5202 or write PO Box 1270 Federal Building Hot Springs, AR 71902.

This trail is very overgrown, my face is
scratched everywhere and I ruined a pair
of lenses. There is a 3 MILE!!! section
of hike a bike. No way to ride this, it
should not even be advertised as a
mountain bike trail. It was getting dark
and I thought I wouldn't make it back to
my vehicle. There are some very steep
descents that caused me to end over the
handlebars twice. If you make a mistake
on the bench cut trail you are going to
slide into Lake Ouachita. Thanks to
whoever built the trail, and I am
appreciative of all those that maintain
the trails with their free time, but
this is the worst trail I have ever
ridden.

I really like this trail alot. It has alot of different aspects. Good downhills, lots of rocks, technical areas, moderate climbs, and scenic views. I went there in September and had to clear alot of limbs and stuff off the trail but other than that the only problem you could run into is during the early winter it's hard to ride with lots of leaves on the trail. And it takes longer than an hour to ride all of the loops. I would say you can ride it all about two times during one day if you are in good shape. I travel 4 or 5 hours about twice a year to ride it. A definite must ride. And be sure to wear your helmet.

Rode this trail in blinding rain...very wet...very technical...but very scenic...loved the trail...get your skills ready for this one though...its not easy...but its worth the effort...Tight and narrow single track on the south loop that if you slip off...could be fatal...300 feet almost straight down to water...dont be too scared though...I promise its worth the risk.
