Trail Description:
Ride up whitepine rd for about 4mi. Turn right at the large intersection. turn left at the next junction. At 7.3mi, look for a trail to the left (can be difficult to spot) and follow the Forest Service markings through the meadow. pass a small lake on the right. then after a strenuous climb reach an intersection at 9mi,and take the road MOST traveled. At 13mi pass a horse camp and turn left at the junction. pass the left turn. Just past an old cabin foundation turn left on to Horseshoe Creek Trail. At 17.7 starts a long climb. Take a sharp right near the top. From here continue on home.

How to get there:
Drive 31 miles east of Gunnison on Hwy 50. Just past Sargents turn left on to Rd 888 to Whitepine. follow for roughly 7mi then park near Snowblind Campground

This trail has it all. Starting with a long 4 wheel drive road climb, technical single track, bike a hike, above alpine ridge ride, steep technical downhill, and at the end super fast smooth banked single track. Soo much fun.
