Ride Summary:
Beautiful views and cool single track.
Trail Description:
The main loop is nearly 20 miles long. The single track is awesome but be aware that you'll be sharing the trails with horseback riders. Be courteous and show them that we are not a bunch of jerks!
How to get there:
To reach the West trailhead, take Forest Road 38 for .5 mile to Forest Road 502 from Shady Lake Recreation Area near Mena. The trailhead is 1/4 miles from the intersection. To reach the east trailhead from Langley, take Hwy 369 North for 3 miles to Forest Road 2106. Contact the Caddo Ranger District at 870-356-4186 for more information.

WARNING - this is for the East trailhead only; the West trailhead might not be this horrible -We drove to this trail and were first led astray by the directions printed above (you will actually go down 6 miles into Langley instead of 3). Secondly, the signs for the trail are so faded, it's VERY easy to miss them. Thirdly, trail is completely overgrown and hasn't been travled on in a good 3 years, probably. When led astray by the directions above, we asked various "town folk" if they knew where the trail was. People who had lived there their whole life didn't even know - that's how poorly maintained it is. It could be a great trail, and might be on the West side, but the upkeep is very, very poor. Do not waste your time. Drive to Womble instead.
