Trail Description:
Riding the outer and inner loops from Elachee Dr. will be 8.5 miles, and the loop south of Elachee Drive adds about 2 miles. With the addition of the new ZigZag trail, there are now over 15 miles of great singletrack! Hook the loops together a couple times for a day's worth of singletrack riding.

How to get there:
Traveling north on I-85, take I-985 to exit 4 (Oakwood), turn left (west), and then turn right (north) past McDonalds. Take a left at the end of this road, and follow the signs to the Elachee Nature Center. Park in the parking lot located under the power lines off Elachee Drive. Do not go over the bridge or park along side the road. If the parking lot is closed, then the trails are closed!!

Additional Notes:
No riding after hard rains, after dark, unleashed dogs and use only the parking area on Elachee to enter the park.

My G/F and I visited Chicopee Woods on 7/9/06. We are from South Fla. and this was the first time riding this trail. What an awsome trail, the Devils Backbone and the Outer Loop was a good workout. Crossing the stream and cooling off at the waterfall, was a nice change for a flat lander! The local bike club has done a GREAT job clearing and maintaining the trails. Fun Trail!!

Combine the Zig Zag and the outer loop for an awesome workout! Great downhill switch back and many short exhausting hills.

This is a great place to spend an afternoon. Grab a map though because it's easy to lose your way.
